In the painting I see a clock that seems to be bent out of shape, lying on a curve and pieces are flying and melting away.
This picture is effective because the picture is created very realistically which gives the idea of it being lifelike however the clock lifting opposes this as its not a normal act. The significance of the clock melting and floating away could be a metaphor the artist could be trying to send a message like time flies or the significance of the moth could be something to do with death. In the background of the picture the sky also contrasts the rest of the picture because its a soft, velvety well blended sky as apposed to the main focus of the picture as the clock is painted with a lot of detail making it sharp and the cube featured in the picture is also sharp. Furthermore the colours of the main focus contrasts the landscape which has a blue (cool colour) compared to the clock and its surroundings which are brown (warm colour) |
Brandon WoelfelBrandon is a 23 year old Photographer. Whose photographs focus on lights and vibrant colours giving his pictures a magical theme.
The blurriness of the warm fairy lights contrast the cool flowers that accompany it which works really well to create a elegant photo & the way he edits his photos effectively creates a brighter more appealing picture which has allowed him to gain a massive following on sites like Instagram and Tumblr as its very popular with today's youth. |
This shoot was inspired by a illusion makeup look from James Charles called 'Blank Canvas'
I chose this look because it looked weird and wonderful and immediately thought it fit with my theme. I think my remake of this was successful however the makeup look was smudged at the beginning making it look messy and unkept in many of my photos but I intend to Photoshop it and neaten the messy areas making my pictures look a lot better. |
I used white paint to create a blank canvas and foundation to create the drips effectively creating the illusion of a melting face while recreating this look, my remake of this was mostly successful however the drips had smudged.
A way that I could improve this look would be to neaten up the messy areas as it would also make my photographs look a lot more professional. |
My second model was dressed to recreate a fairy. Pale white wings were used and glitter to create this. In addition to this her long hair was let out adding to the concept of fairies and magical creatures as it made her look elegant and pretty.
This was simple to recreate and I wouldn't want to change anything about it However if I had to I would of had my models wearing different clothing as apposed to their uniform for example plain white or black tops for a simplistic look. |
Best PhotoThis is my favourite picture because its right in the center, maintaining the focus on the model, also the green of the leaves blend with the white and has soft rays of light so it doesn't look over exposed.
|
I have chosen this as my worst photo because it was too over exposed and there's no definition on the wings as they look washed out, it makes the picture look unprofessional.
|
Best PhotoThis is my favorite picture because it captured my ideas of lights and shadows to link to the mystery behind weird and wonderful. Its taken from a lower angle to capture the sun shining down on my model which I really like.
|
Worst PhotoIn contrast this is my least favorite because it was slightly over exposed and didn't capture the angle like the other photo. The shadows weren't highlighted in this so it lacks depth and definition. It looks quite random.
